This saw is a BEAST!
I bought this saw to replace my old craftsman single bevel saw. It surpasses it in so many ways. First off dual bevel, that speaks for itself, but the ease of use of the dual beveling option is where it shines here. Second the light system is impeccable. does it cut? yes. does it have power? yes. is it a total pain in to adjust to cut square? YES! I wish I loved this saw but I don't. There is so much wiggle in the stops at 0 that if you aren't careful it cuts quite a few degees out of square. Also the bevel adjust goes out so frequently that I find myself using a quick square and manually adjusting the vertical angle rather than trusting the 0 position. I feel like while it does a lot right, Metabo completely missed the mark making sure this saw...

I was looking for a zero rear clearance saw for my miter station so when this one went on sale during the change from Hitachi to Metabo i pulled the trigger. I knew the Metabo brand from living in Germany so the new name was no problem.This is a decent saw and was set up true and square out of the box. This is getting beat up in the reviews - and I can't really figure out why. I just finished more than 1000' of floor and door trim and this saw was absolutely perfect. At the price point - it is a 5 star saw all day long. I'll address a few concerns that I have read and tell you my experience - for what it's worth. I didn't buy this last year when it went on sale but I have need for some fine cuts and my 12 inch saw turns 4500 RPM and because of the arbor nut I can't use blade stiffener so I figured this 10 inch saw turning only 4000 would do the trick. Far exceeded my expectations, one little gripe
I purchased this on Black Friday on an exceptional sale, and I am so glad I did! Out of the box I checked it for square in several places: fence to table, blade to table (at default 90-degree position), and blade to fence (at 0-degree). It was dead-on in all respects, I made no adjustments.
