Maytag Smart Capable High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer & Gas Dryer Set w/ Steam

Poor quality; Disappointed.

Only owned this washer 3 years and have significant issues with it. July 11, 2023 - July 11, 2026, literally 3 years to the date it stopped working. First the valve inlet for the water failed and would fill very slow resulting in an error code. I was able to repair that on my own. Second, the impeller started making noise like it was grinding but not all of the time, just randomly which I bought a new pump in anticipation of having to replace that. Now it won't start, just stays on "sensing"...

Unbalanced...this machine will destroy itself!

We've owned only Maytag washers and dryers for the past fifty-some-odd years, but this time, we bought a lemon! Almost every load, especially those with towels or sheets, unbalances 90% of the time. Rarely does the machine resolve the issue on its own, so I need to rebalance it myself, which usually takes at least 4 tries to finish! I'm so tired of taking 1-1/2 to two hours per load, to wash a medium load of clothes!

I bought Maytag model MVW7230HC1 16 mos ago and I hate it. When starting a new load, hardly any water is released I the tub but the agitator starts and a washing cycle begins with hardly any water. It’s not cleaning my laundry… how can it without water! I can’t lift the lid if I want to without canceling the whole cycle and wasting detergent I just put in. I miss my 23 year old washer, but this will do too

Unbelievably Terrible Features!

I am so sorry I purchased this washer. It seemed like it had a lot of positive reviews and to be honest, I liked the water spout feature. However, when you use the water spout, the washer will drain all of the water before it begins the cycle. So you loose all of your soap and waste that water. Buyers Remorse - very disappointing purchase

We bought this washer and the matching dryer (#MED7230HW3) Feb. 2024 and it is the most disappointing appliance purchase I have ever made. If I could give this zero stars I would. This washer has been the worst appliance I have ever bought. We replaced the older version we had for a little over 3 years with this. I would have never expected a product like this. For starters it is loud, there is grinding when the wash switches cycles from wash to rinse to fill constantly.
