Bought this washer in July of 24. After a delayed installation of approximately 1 month, began to experience problems and called for first service call in Dec 24. Died after 1 year, will cost over $600 for parts
Bought this washer in April of 2025, with an extended 5 year warranty. Had to have it serviced twice within the first 6 months and then today it completely died. Called Maytag - was told that it's a known issue for this model to shut down mid cycle, the control panel and the pump needs to be replaced. Control panel costs $330 before tax and shipping, pump is almost $300 before tax and shipping. Stupid Design!
Staying in a short term rental while waiting for our house to be built and using a new Maytag top load washer Mod. #MVW7232HW0. What a piece of crap! Doesn't put enough water in the tub to even wet all of the clothes and then starts agitating while the top of the clothes are still dry! Very dissatisfied
I despise this washing machine. It can't even get one spot of toothpaste off a child's shirt . I load it exactly as directed, I do not overfill, and I still have clothes coming out of the washing cycle that are still soiled. I have to use the max fill on the water or sometimes the clothes have literal dry spots on them. I thought purchasing a Maytag was a safe bet, but it is horrible.

Poor quality
We have owned this washer for 18 months and already have to replace the touchpad and control panel which currently sells for $427 from Maytag if you are brave enough to take on that DIY project. Do yourself a favor and either buy the cheapest basic washer or get that speed queen.

I've used Kenmore washers forever but decided to give Maytag when I built a custom home and wanted new appliances. Huge mistake! This washer has been nothing but trouble from the start. Poor performing washer
Bought this washer last year and while it washes well it simply cannot handle any kind of medium heavy or heavier load. Constantly goes out of balance and tries to auto balance by adding more water.
