Works, but so many design issues

I bought this grill to replace a large charcoal/offset smoker grill that I've had for years because I no longer need that much grill, so a small kettle style grill seemed like a great option. This is a great grill! great weight, great height, great material. Love the hinged lid and removable warming grate. The ash catcher is removable, and i love the "Condiment Caddy" that is low enough that your beer wont get hot in it! The issues I have are that we ordered it to be preassembled and it added two days for the order, which would've been fine. Perfect size for our needs. Good quality.

Good for price

It is good for the price. There is nothing fancy about it, no special features. Takes some time to assemble. But very affordable. Hopeful it holds up.

Needs bottom ventilation. Carelessly assembled.

Nice grill, except needs bottom ventilation to keep lit with lid closed. Carelessly assembled with lid latch crooked by about 45°. Barely stays latched. Fine otherwise.

Work Horse

Awesome kettle grill without the big name brand high price tag. Gets the job done, very well I may add. Features that I love are the hinged lid, warming rack, big sturdy handle, and built in holder. Now just know that this is not a W****. I did add some magnets to the ash catcher to help keep it in place during transportation, and I did purchase some charcoal baskets. Overall, been very pleased with this grill, had it for over a year and it's still solid!

This grill is a pain. It's rickity right after assembly. The leg rusted off within a year. We store it inside a shed. I like the size and the thermometer on the top.

Honest Review

The master forge charcoal grill is just that, a charcoal grill. A weber it is not but it is a good grill. I've had mine for 2 months and have cooked on it multiple times and it has done what it is supposed to do.

Seems sturdy and well-built.

If you have it assembled check everything before use. Nuts missing, bolts/screws not tightened, etc. I had spare parts on hand that fit. They did the hard part aligning and completing 98% of assembly. I've cooked a couple of meals on it and it worked quite nicely. I've had some less-expensive barbecues that had issues with airflow using the built-in vents, where you had to cook with the lid partially open to keep the coals going strong.
