Easy to set up
First of all this is the first time I was able to successfully hook up a smart device. I’ve tried to install smart thermostats in the past and gave up. This smart plug is designed to be used outside and will withstand the elements. It can be used with up to 15A of lighting loads or motors up to 1/2 horsepower. Super pleased with this Caseta Smart plug! This little plug is a game changer for me. Installation was simple and straight forward with great paper and online tutorials. Download the easy to use app on your phone or tablet and follow the prompts. This has allowed me to set up with my Alexa and now I can control the lights in my shop over 100 feet away from my house. Working great
Setup was no problem. I just plugged it in, pressed the button, the app found it, and it's been working fine. I built a shocker circuit that I put on my bird feeder to train the squirrels to stay out of it. I use this to turn it on and off. I can set it to automatically turn on and off at sunrise and sunset since the squirrels aren't out at night. Outdoor Smart Plug
I am using the outdoor smart plug to control the lights on my porch. You can control directly from the on off button on the switch but in order to use remotely use must integrate with the Caseta Smart Bridge which I also have. You need to download the app on your phone and connect the plug. That being done you can turn on and off from any location. The product is very durable. The only downside to the product is it can get quite pricy considering you need to purchase other components.
Make your exterior lights and decorations easy
I have powered items that we use during the holidays. Getting out there to plug or unplug them is not always the best weather, time of day or simply I forget. This is a very heavy duty cord, watherproof housing and is controlled by pushing the power button or my favorite feature using the app. I can use the app to set up schedules or turn on and off. This is going to make holliday lights and inflatables alot more easier on me.
Easy to navigate plug for outdoor lighting.
The plug is easy to set up and compact. The app was easy to use. The plug works great and is connected to our gazebo lights on our patio. It is easy to change the colors of the lights and turn the lights on and off. I created a schedule within the app for turning on and off at certain times of the day. That is a handy feature so I don't have to worry if they are on or off.
Wireless outdoor smart plug
This outdoor smart plug is fine. You can use indoor or outdoor. You do need the Lutron Caseta system for wireless control. I have the smart hub and tried to set it up. The choice that it was giving me to name a device was not what I wanted. I did plug a camera into it and turned on and off and it worked. The good thing is it’s insulated so it will work outside.
