Durable boxes afflicted by shrinkflation

I have moved a lot over the past several years, and have been using the same Lowe’s boxes for multiple moves. When I bought a few new boxes for my most recent move, I noticed that the dimensions of the box have shrunk slightly. This makes the boxes stack less neatly/stably in the moving truck. Was surprised to see “shrinkflation” even in impact moving boxes.

Yes, I paid for boxes

Maybe back in the day you could scrounge around and stock up on boxes for moving. It was more likely you would end up with ripped boxes missing flaps or covered in tape, or worse :). So I bit my tongue and bought some boxes. So glad I did. Very well cut, strong material, worth every penny.

A good choice for moving day

Good quality, good price, held up well during the move. A good size for clothing, bedding, decorative pillows, etc. so that box is not too heavy for anyone to lift.

Perfect size

Packing to move and this box is the perfect size, doesn’t get too heavy and I have used several boxes and the stack perfectly in my storage unit

Good if load is not too heavy

Easy to set up and hold things together well. Once they got heavier the handles started ripping a bit. We thought we can reuse them with the next move but as it turns out only some can.

Boxes were great for packing/moving household good

In preparation for window replacement and foundation work with interior piers, I needed to pack and move things around in the house. I had to empty 3 book cases and found the small packing boxes the right size to fit the amount of books and magazines that I could lift. The cutouts for handholds helped me lift the boxes. The medium size were just right for clothes on hangers and again, the cutouts helped me move and lift the boxes.

Easy to build, great price!

This box was an easy fit in the car and also an easy build! Perfect for anyone that is moving or needs any extra storage boxes!

Long lasting box

Good box for the price. Does the job right. Stored many things in these boxes for a period of 6months then moved them twice. Held up remarkably. Later I broke them down easy and reused for something else.
