I cannot believe I spent $600 on a machine and you can’t even mute or lower the end-of-cycle sound. It is incredibly loud and wakes up everyone in the house. To make it worse, there is no digital time display, so you have absolutely no idea how many minutes are left or when your clothes will actually be done. Complete waste of money for a modern appliance.

TERRIBLE HIGH PITCHED SOUND "NORMAL"
I can't speak to the quality of how these wash or dry, but if you have good hearing, pets, or kids in the house, everyone will hear a horrible, electric high pitched noise when the drum of the washer moves. This is a known feature according to LG, and because most adults do not hear it due to hearing loss, they do not care. It is not considered a defect, and you will not get a refund. Purchased this LG washer a few weeks ago after my old washer quit working. I have used it several times since and it works very nicely. The price was competitive and delivery was quick. I would recommend this product.

Completely impractical
I purchased this for washer a month ago. While the see-through lid is nice, I would not recommend this machine to anyone. First, you can not let whites soak. You can fill up the drum with the water and press pause, but after a few minutes the machine drains itself and you have to start the load all over again, wasting water and soap. This is absolutely inane. Second, there is not enough water in the speed wash or normal wash settings. The point of a speed wash is that it is supposed to be fast!...
