We bought in 2021 from Lowes. We have replaced 2 ice makers. 2025 the control board and compressor went out. Those were replaced under the 5 year warranty we purchased. 2026 the coolant leaked out of the compressor. The technician performed a dye test and said there was a leak in the shell and it was not worth fixing. The refrigerator only lasted 5 years. The technician said to stay away from LG Refrigerators.

We purchased model LRDCS2603S in June 2022. We were hesitant because we had an LG dishwasher that didn't last much more than 3 years and the extended warranty was a joke. Don't buy this, and Don't buy from Lowes
Received delivery and installation 2/17/2026. Design: Refrigerator has 3 shelves with minimal adjustability. You will have to remove one of the shelves, or deal with one shelf height of 2-3/4", to place a 2-liter soda bottle or some typical pitchers on a shelf. Good looking refrigerator
The fridge is exactly what we needed. It fits perfectly in our kitchen. We bought it to replace a fridge that never quite fit. We are able to open the door all the way now. It’s roomy and everything is easily accessible. The two freezer compartments keep everything organized. We tried to look at this unit at another retailer but they only carried it online. We tried to find it at Lowe’s, but again, only online. The price was fantastic so we took the chance and it worked out well!

Saw this coming
Lasted 5 years and just gave out on us yesterday 5/1/26. Not cooling or freezing. Figured we’d unplug and reset refrigerator and that didn’t work. LG should consider bumping up warranty to 5 years rather than 3 since it seems like others have experienced with this same model. Don’t buy LG!!

Stopped Working Within 3 1/2 Years
Do NOT buy this refrigerator. Installed July 2022 and the compressor (which keeps everything cold/frozen) stopped working in February 2026 after 3.5 years. Buyer Beware
The compressor on our unit failed after 4 years, 9 months. Called the company daily & each time they said, we're looking for a technician. Finally they scheduled a repair person 15 days after our refrigerator failed. In the meantime, we already bought a new refrigerstor, NOT LG. Who can live without a refrigerstor for 15+ days!

Compressor failure in approximately 5 years
I will preface by saying we really liked this refrigerator. Model number LRDCS2603S made in Mexico 9/2020. It looked good and met our needs for 5 years. However, recently noticed food in the freezer thawing. Gave it a few hours and the food did not re-freeze. Called a local repairman and he said it is 100% the compressor.
