Great Product, but Lowes.com Falls Short

Great product, very pleased. It looks good, Easy to install. I shopped around and read many reviews and this product had the features I wanted. While more pricey, it was worth the extra money. Installer BEWARE

Bought this programmable deadbolt so that the family could enter through the front without a key. I've installed 3 other similar locks of a different brand so I was sure this would be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong. Great door lock

I've had this door lock on the door for about a month now and so far it's working great. Although I have not had to change the batteries or reprogram it yet but again so far it's fine. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because I bought this lock plus the Kwikset Tylo entry door knob. After 9 years of having two different color knobs or locks on my front door one being Chrome and one being brass are gold I was finally going to have matching knobs with the same brand and one key. Don’t buy it! I bought mine on August 22 2022. In August of 2023 it no longer worked. I thought it was the battery. I had a friend come over to change the battery but he came on August 29th. He found it wasn’t the battery it was the electronics. The boy says Lifetime warranty. I small print it said 1 year on electronics. He called the company and they told him it was too late. Too late by 1 week. So I had to go out and buy another. Believe me I DIDNOT buy another Kwitset.

Suddenly stopped working

I purchased this deadbolt approximately 2 years ago. Installation was straightforward and the deadbolt functioned well until this week, when the deadbolt would not engage and move when using the electronic lock button or and entry code. The device will make a low grinding sound, but nothing moves. Key use works, though not as well as before as the lock sometimes hits a sticking point before extra torque will turn it in or out by key. NICE UNIT, WORKS WELL

Bought this for my son and supervised the install. Very straight forward, no surprises. The lock comes with everything you would need for a new install and if you are doing a new install the process will be a little more involved than just replacing an existing deadbolt.
