Kwikset is my go-to brand when I need a new deadbolt set, doorknob, lock, etc. and this set didn't disappoint. I have the satin nickel colored one. This might sound like a minor point, but I appreciate how well packaged this set was. Good Product - make sure it is what you need!

The lock set is a very sharp-looking set. The brushed stainless look is amazing. The lock set comes with easy-to-read instructions - however, if your eyesight isn't all that, you'll probably need a magnifying glass. The door knob installation is easy and straightforward. Solid locking knob and deadbolt combo. I have always found Kwikset to be a good quality for an affordable price point. The satin finish is nice and construction feels solid. Someone broke in

I bought five of these locks after I purchased a house, it cost probably $500, I rekeyed the locks so they all matched and thought everything was fine. A few days later someone used a bump key and broke into the house, he messed with the lock for two minutes and he was in. Feels like quality

The knobs are larger (than what I had on the house) which makes them feel like a bit higher quality than normal to me. The contours of the knob and lock make these stand out as better. The keying / rekeying systems works very well. I have purchased a total of 6 of these and they have all been very good. Just what we needed!!

Our family had to recently change our locks, because we needed to change the key itself. We decided to buy these locks for our back door and garage door along with another smartkey style for our front door. We were then able to program these locks with the front door locks. We programed these locks (follow re-key video on here) to work with the front door key, and just had copies of the front door key made. it was easy peasy! Smartkey is the way to go

I used to buy another name brand lock. Ever since I tried a Kwikset lock with smartkey, I never looked back. As a landlord/homeowner, rekeying with smartkey is as easy as 1-2-3. Don't buy for right hand door

I recently purchased this lock set when I replaced my front door. The price and being able to re-key the locks myself were the selling points. Unfortunately, for my right hand swing door, the locks are upside down! It seems this lock set is designed for left hand installations, and doesn't say anything on the box. That's the reason for the loss in overall rating, otherwise seems like a good lock set for the money.

Nice locks and easy to install, but I am disappointed that you cannot install them so that both locks go the same way. This made it a bit difficult when installing the knob because I wanted it to go the other way. You have to turn your key over from up to down between each lock to open them.
