Just awful

I have owned many tape measures in my 69 years but this is the most disappointing. I would highly recommend that you purchase something else (anything). The tape cannot be extended with one hand beyond 24". The self lock feature sucks. It looked good in the store (wrapped in plastic) but this one is destined for the trash can. I won't even give it away.

Good for a new carpenter

Quality seems ok, but I’d hate to drop it from the second deck. The plastic is just too light to handle a real beating, although this means you hardly feel it sitting on your pocket all day. The tape is nice and flexible and looks to have a long life. The tips and facts on the reverse are helpful to anyone who’s new to carpentry, although I’d prefer the inches on the back. Great Product, Great Value

I bought the 16' one of these. I liked it so much that, when I returned the next day, I went to buy another, but they were temporarily sold out. So, I bought two of the 12' ones. I have several longer tapes (25', 30'), but often, like in a bedroom or when hanging pictures, a 12' tape is long enough. Also, I have many tapes, but the tips on many are damaged and work poorly so - done with those. The Self-Lock feature is so natural and works great!

Nice size easy to read and Holds position

I really like that this tape measure automatically maintains its position when you open it without flying back into the casing like the traditional tape measures do. I have noticed with some use, however that it’s sometimes retracts a little. We’ll see if this holds up overtime. Reliable Sturdy

I was 17 when I first started my construction journey in the window industry and this was my first and my last tape measure I will ever buy I still use the same one as I did when I was 17 I am now 24 and she is still kicking I am impressed and happy with how accurate and reliable this tape measure works its as if it was brand new lock still works and I still use it to this day.

Komelon self-lock evolution tape

I give this tape a 5/5 because it does what it's supposed to do. I've had to buy a replacement one within a year only because I've lost my old one which is due to my fault, not the fault of the hi-vis case. I like the 12 ft tape, I keep two in the garage, one next to my miter saw, the other next to my table saw. Great tape measure - greater value

I prefer a self looking tape measure. Tape is easy to read which is probably the most important thing. Lightweight and easy to find because of the colors. Bought about eight of them with a big discount

waste of money

bought this to replace the free tape measure I got from years ago. compared to my old tape measure, this has bigger prints, making it easier to see. however, it doesn't self lock very well and that defeats the purpose of this product. basically wasted my money. it money better spent on something that locks better or a cheap, traditional one at the same price that at least works.

Lock fail

Purchased for the auto lock feature, within 8 months of light use, the lock is not holding when extended 10 or more feet. Disappointed.
