Good combination of size, weight and brightness
For a rechargeable flashlight, this flashlight is pretty bright (see picture). It's funny how far rechargeable flashlights have come; I have an old rechargeable one that used regular old-fashioned bulbs and it looks like a nightlight compared to this flashlight. Sturdy, bright, and rechargeable
I would hazard a guess that in the last several years I have had to throw a half dozen or more flashlights plus other battery operated gadgets away due to alkaline batteries that have leaked. I am blown away by this Kobalt flashlight! It's heavy and well made with a metal casing, and very versatile. The flashlight comes with a rechargeable battery and a USB charge cord. Twist the base of the flashlight to reveal the charge port. The flashlight charges in about 2-4 hours. This is one great flashlight. I use every nite for when I take the dog out about 9:15. I really like the way the full flood light beam works. It flood the area in front of me really bright. The spot light beam works great also. The low beam flood light is really bright also. I charged the internal when I received the flashlight & it really holds a charge. Super simple but super rugged
2 stand out features: No moving parts and double o-ring for water protection. That alone is what all flashlights should have. This one also has a rechargeable battery pack in addition to the normal battery pack, which I love as a backup option, but it's hard to keep track of. I would recommend keeping this in a specific container with other lights, maybe some other "emergency" items like matches or first aid, so you have it as a backup if you forget to charge the light.
