It doesnt stay perpendicular to the pipe and can move a lot against cutting the pipe straight. Doesn't cut quicker generally. Less uniform of a cut for sure and especially for this price. Bad item. Rathceting part doesn't even work well

Quick and easy to use

Easy to use - fast and efficient. My husband got this to adjust some of the heating pipes in our basement. He was able to quickly cut them without making a huge mess. I held a bucket beneath to capture water and he could twist this to cut it. Great little tool!

Easy to use, just not good for really tight spaces

Works very well. Easier to use that one without a handle. I did have the mechanism come apart because I used it wrong - my fault. It’s annoying to get back together, but has been working fine since. It’s wider than other options, so you can’t cut as close to existing joints

hoping I just got a bad one

Unfortunately I was expecting this to be great and broke immediately it came apart when i needed it and would not go back Together would love to say otherwise but it really hung me out to dry in a wet cold crawlspace

Project was very quick….

I used the Tube Cutter, to shorten Bar Stools (29 inches) To a Counter Stools, I decide on (25 inches). The Cutter requires a wrench, to tighten the grip of the pole a few times during cutting, it took approximately 5 minutes each chair leg.. Also use tape measure, for initial length you choose to cut, and chalk to mark it, after first legs is done use the first cut leg to compare next leg, again mark with chalk. I’m a 62 year old Female.. You can do it….

Works well until it doesn’t

The design and functionality of the product seems great in concept however after cutting 2 pipes with this tool it seems to have deformed and will now slip off any sized pipe when trying to use it. Since it’s slightly out of alignment the ratcheting teeth of the handle sometimes slip and comes loose when trying to turn it. As a pipe cutter it works well until it doesn’t.

Horrible dont buy!

Just tried this at work today and its horrible! The finger tightener is too small to tighten enough to get a good cut. And the cutting wheel is not sharp enough. The ratchet system works but thats about it. Had to get about 25 revaluations to make a cut on 1/2” copper. Do not buy!! Your better of with round hand cutters they cut 10 times faster. Will be returning today after work asap

Lots of flaws

The concept is great. But this tool does NOT decrease the time to cut copper tubing compared to other cutters. The little depth adjustment knob is really difficult to crank. You'll try your hardest to get another turn, then rachet the tool a dozen more rotations. The pipe won't be cut, and the tool will not tighten any more. If the tool gets dirty it will bind and fail to rachet. I'll never take it on a job again. Might be useful to cut up scrap, that's it.
