Phasing out the 80 volt

Over the years I have acquired quite a few of the Kobalt 80volt tools. The edger, tiller, pole saw, blowers and even the weed eater (String Trimmer). The neck of my trimmer broke yesterday, and I called and was told to take it back to Lowes. I was told the 80 volt was no longer available. I got an instore credit instead! All I wanted was the part for the neck to hold guard and head on! Now I have to start replacing my entire system, i guess!

Low quality and short battery life

Bought this product to replace an old gas trimmer that paid its dues over 20 years. Good and Bad

I purchased my first one in April of 2018 and it worked flawlessly until last weekend when i got halfway through weed eating my yard. The unit shut off and would not come back on (no lights, no nothing). The battery still showed a full charge. I took the battery out and put in my 80v blower and it worked. Too Heavy for me...

I purchased the Kobalt 80-Volt Max 16-in Straight Cordless String Trimmer about 24 months ago. I just put it for sale in my neighborhood. I don't want it any more. Just What I Needed

I went to Lowes to get a gas powered trimmer to replace the Toro 4 stroke that I had worn out. I have two acres of land and a 385 foot driveway that I trim. Only good until the original string runs out

I bought this several years ago. The charge life is tolerable. It is heavy. The amount of vibration will leave your arms tingling for 2 days. But it cuts. Until it doesn't. My trimmer is out of string. Apparently, if I want to refill it, I am going to have to find the string and wind it all myself.
