Excellent product, made strong

Excellent product overall. Make sure to count the number of holes from bottom/top before installing shelves onto posts and into holes. If even one off the shelf might not be level and they are difficult to get off. I think in my case the product will outlast the shed it is built in.

Very sturdy

Very sturdy I don’t have to anchor it to the ground or wall. I have a lot of weight on it now and it holds up great. Directions lack a little bit but was still able to put it together in about an hour.

flimsy wire shelves

the structure is pretty solid, but the wore shelving it comes with are extremely flimsy. like distorts with 20lbs on them. had to put plywood down to actually get rigidity. might be ok for like a suburban dad or something but not if you're actually trying to put heavy items on it. not worth $300+

Easy to assemble

Better built than I expected. Easy to assemble and heavy duty. Very satisfied

The three shelf unit looks great

Very heavy and durable, looks great connected to same shelves that are the same size or 4 tiered. However, you will not need both end posts if you ARE connecting. Downside of this product, Lowe’s does not buy or sell parts for the three tier as they do for the 4 tier (taller) shelf.

Inferior redesign

I bought this Kobalt shelving (#19019) end of July ’25 and thought it was well-made and sturdy. So I bought a 2nd set, same stock #, end of September thinking I was ordering the same thing. Instead, what I received is a different design and not at all as sturdy. The first set I received had 3 horizontal support braces with 2 diagonal braces for each vertical side section whereas the redesign has only 2 horizontal braces with 1 long diagonal support going from top to bottom. Nice but difficult to assemble

A lot of the holes weren't lined up correctly which made assembly VERY difficult. I had to keep taking things apart and putting it back together just to get the bolts through both holes. The plastic caps that came for the top don't stay on. The 2 out of the 4 feet came broken and bent. There's nothing to secure the wire tops down so I ended up using zip ties. I don't understand the purpose of the L-type pins (see picture and video), they don't secure anything down, they're honestly a waste of ma...

Delivery took a long time

Very unsatisfactory. Pieces did not fit and I had to return it. Was promised a replacement shelf twice by Lowes. When the truck arrived they took the defective shelf and did not deliver a replacement but gave me a credit instead. Won’t buy large items from Lowe’s again

Not the quality of previous shelves.

We bought 4 kobalt shelving units about 5 years ago and loved them . We recently moved and needed another . We knew the look had changed but unfortunately so did the quality . We are EXTREMELY disappointed. While the shelf may be sturdy for moderate weight , it definitely does not feel as secure as previous models . The wire shelf is split and held in the middle by clamps . Kobalt sacrificed stability for shipping size and a compact box.
