What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this hacksaw for its exceptional build quality, intuitive design, and ease of use. The thumb-operated tension knob for blade changes is most lauded, with many describing it as the easiest they've experienced—eliminating frustration of traditional screw systems. The adjustable 90° and 45° cutting angles are widely appreciated for versatility across plumbing, metalwork, and woodworking. The aluminum frame feels rigid yet lightweight, while rubberized padded grips reduce hand fatigue during extended use. A few note the included blade needed replacement, but this rarely reflects on the saw itself. Overall, reviewers consider it a durable, lifetime tool.

Perfect simplicity
Let’s face it. A hacksaw is probably one of the first tools you bought when you got your first garage. It’s likely been in your tool box for 50 years. This was my case. I could not find mine and was forced to break down and buy a new one. I’m glad I did. The frame is easy to manage and change blades. The design is simple and works perfectly. My old one was held together with duct tape. If you are looking for a decent, reliable hacksaw, this is the one.

12" Kobalt Hack Saw - Quick Change Blade Feature
I work as a handyman so this hack saw has been overly used, vs. the use most hack saws see in their first year. I have used this hack saw for the last 14 months that I have owned it so it may look weathered in the photos, but I don't wrap my tools in cotton so it looks perfect to me. A really cool feature is that the blade can be quick-swapped to cut at a 45 degree angle. Notice in the pics that there are two sets of mounting pegs for the blade - one regular angle straight set and the two ...
Good little hacksaw
I decided to get a hacksaw because a hacksaw is what my mother would use to cut down the Christmas trees we'd get when I was a kid. I decided I could use a 12-in one because I'm only in the market for smaller trees and for cutting up dead branches in my backyard. I will say it's nice having a hacksaw in my adult life as it does bring back fond and useful memories. This saw is quite easy to use. I like the adjustable blade tensioning and being able to adjust the blade from 90 to 45 degrees is...
Handy Saw for Cutting Metal
This saw worked well for my project--I like the simple design and how it was stocked in my local store, ready for crafters and creators alike.

Very sturdy hacksaw
This is a very well made and solid hack saw. It has 2 blade settings. One for a straight 90 degree cut and a second for a 45 degree cut which actually worked very well. You change the setting by removing the blade and setting it on the pins on the opposite side of the saw. I attached a couple of pictures showing the other set of pins. The only con I found is that description on the literature that came with the saw says there is a quick release button, but that is not true. You have to uns...
Couldn't get my blade to tighten
I really wanted to like and use this 12-in Extra Fine Cut Hack Saw. My problem was that I couldn't get the blade to tighten up once I had it installed. For some reason the thumb screw that puts tension on the blade wouldn't tighten at all. I don't know what the problem was. I even had my husband try, he couldn't get it to tighten up either. The idea is really good, but if you can't tighten the blade the saw can't be safely used. Now, that said, the hand grip is really nice and "cushiony" ...
