Lifetime hassle free warranty
The flashlight is very well made so I expect it will last a while as a vehicle flashlight. The "low" setting is still quite bright so you won't be lost in the dark. I bought because of the warranty: "lifetime" "hassle free". I still have the last Kobalt flashlight I bought about 8 years ago, it works like it did new. So I hope this new one is as good.

Solid, Bright, Compact, and Durable
This is a solid flashlight. It runs on 3 AAA batteries (I used disposable, but I expect that rechargeable would work just as well). The batteries seem to last for at least several hours (I have not had to replace mine, yet). The flashlight is compact and fits comfortably in my hand. [Employee of lowes] I have 5 famous Mag lights. Had them for years. This Kobalt light is better than any of them. I will only buy these light in the future. My wife and I have them everywhere. She keeps one in her purse, we keep one or 2 in every car. They are small, light weight and powerful. The lights went out a month ago and we sat them around the house as candles. They are as bright as any mag light.

First thing I need to say is this package was not easy to open at all! Took me longer to open than to put the batteries in and use it. The flashlight came with 3 AAA batteries that were easy to install. The package the flashlight came in, however, requires a great deal of work to open, good luck! It fits nicely in small and large adult hands, and is easy to hold onto since both ends are "larger". Even with gloves, this was very easy to turn on/off, change the setting, and hold onto.
