Great for the price , could be better.

Pros: good price for what you get. Cuts great. Simple and quiet. Cons: Adjusting the bar and chain could be easier. Would be nice to have second battery, due to not coming anywhere close to 300 cuts. Wish it had a case with it.

Battery bad right out of the box

I can’t really review the saw yet because the battery would not charge. I plugged the charger in and inserted the battery. The status light blinked red which indicates a bad battery. I followed the instructions and tried multiple times without success. I returned to the store and reordered. Will give it one more try.

Battery Dead After 2 Yrs But Getting Another One

Did not work at all. looked like a solid product. There were none in stock to exchange. The fact it didn't work at all could have just been an isolated defect. Lowes took it back easily so I won't rate the quality. Bought a new E GO chain saw.

Don’t take my word for my One you’ll never regret

I like this a lot better in gas models cut through trees with no problem and it’s so quiet compared to gas models also did I say one button push while not ripping your shoulder apart by pulling a cord

Chain comes off

This worked great for the first couple of times using it, but once the chain came off, it has never been the same. Its not reliable, and I can get 4 cuts and the chain comes off, and that's it! I am very dissapointed in this buy, because I had read reviews on the smaller version and everyone was excited about this 18" coming out. It is also very heavy due to the huge battery.

The saw and battery weighs 17.7 pounds on my scale

I like not having to mix gas with two cycle oil also much quieter. Very powerful with the 5ah battery and included rapid charger.

Great Saw -- Bad Customer Service

This chainsaw is a beast! I bought this saw for our land to help cut trees and split wood. I like the 18-inch bar, and the way it shows no mercy when cutting large timber. I finally had a chance to use it yesterday, and I like it. Bought with the thought of needing something easier to work with in the colder months. I have several gas powered chainsaws and they're a pain getting started when the temps drop. Very Capable Saw

Cut down a pine tree that had a 24" diameter base. It took some time working around the trunk but gotter done. The saw goes through batteries fast, so make sure you have at least one extra battery that's always on the charger to swap out. I question Kobalt's claims on # of cuts with a single charge.
