Great tool for fresh snow on decks & walkways!

I was really excited to get this out of the box and give it a try. We're experiencing January in November in Michigan, and there was plenty of snow to try this on! I put the battery on the charger at lunch time and it was fully charged by 6:30 pm. The box is bulky, weird and HEAVY. I didn't expect this to be as heavy as it was - and the weird shape of the box makes it challenging to manhandle. Some holes for gripping would have been nice. Good for the light stuff.

It took weeks of waiting for snow but when I came, I got a few different types of snow fall to try this 40-Volt Max 20-in Single-Stage Push Cordless Electric Snow Blower. -The first storm was 5” of light powder and I would rate it a 9 out of 10. First impression seems fine.

Snows in South-Central Indiana where I live are usually wet and sticky, rarely more than a few inches deep. So this will be a good test for this snow thrower. My old, 2-cycle single stage blower was always plagued with a clogged discharge chute, which required poking a stick in it to free the clog. Every season I would have to do maintenance on it, including fresh gasoline and oil, spark plug, and air filter. All this for a product I would use only a few times. A very nice machine

Unfortunately, it hasn't snowed yet in New Jersey before Thanksgiving so I can't comment on snow removal but here are my observations so far. Out of the box it assembles easily without tools. Weighs about 35 lbs and relatively easy to maneuver for assembly, use, and storage. The chute control is easy to turn and position chute direction. Illinois Weather

First time I used this we had a couple inches of snow, worked great! Lastnight we had snow and wind, creating drifts. This morning my driveway was drifted over, as you can see in the photos. The deepest part was 18". I had to learn the limits of the tool and shortly I was off and running. Pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness

My first try with this thing went pretty well. I wasn't expecting much but it surpassed even my greatest hopes for what it is. It's powerful and throws the snow pretty far. It isn't really suited for taking down 6-foot snow drifts. You can kind of buzz them down because it's not too heavy. A great tool for most snow removal tasks

Putting it together was pretty straight-forward. The instructions were clear and concise, and everything went together as expected. I am excited to have replaced another gas tool with a battery version. I have invested in the Kobalt line of outdoor battery-powered tools (I bought a Kobalt mower, string trimmer and hedge trimmer), and have been properly pleased with the quality. The right tool

I have now used this for two snow storms and here are my thoughts.I am pretty sure I received a refurbished item. The stickers on the shovel were half off and the battery was fully charged and It had some memory issues that I had to work out to get the battery operating correctly which is weird since I thought that Lithium batteries were not supposed to have a memory. Power shovel, lots of power

Received this about a week ago and had to wait until it snowed. VERY easy to assemble, really only two parts to put together. 40 volt battery charged fairly quickly. Received about 3 - 4 inches of snow and was anxious to try this. Instructions were good, but could be better for usage. It should warn you that the snow REALLY flies out of the impeller. Ladies, this is our snowblower

OK so my husband and I went back and forth whether to get the 40V or the 80V and I won (due to his not cleaning out the garage and it being a space issue as the 40V is slightly smaller).
