Air regulator failure.

The air regulator failed 1 month after the warranty expired (of course). This seems to be a common occurrence with this item. This compressor saw light use, so I would not have expected this regulator to of failed with the limited use it saw. The regulator was always bled off too so it wasn't under constant pressure on the delivery side.

Keeps pressure for impacts, quiet - Durability TBD

My 30+ year old Craftsman finally bit the dust. Needed to remove 12+ year old exhaust flange nuts and air & heat is the only way. I bought this even with the reviews about the regulator. No problems yet, does very well under load. I have a lot more to do so we'll see about longevity.

Lowe's won't honor 3 year warranty

I bought one on May 21, 2024. It is very quiet, as advertised, but my regulator went out in about one year. It will not hold air pressure during use. There is a yellow sticker on the top-front that reads, "3 Year Warranty". I have been trying to exercise that claim, but Lowe's will not honor it because I didn't pay for the protection plan. I bought one of these compressors in 2018, and within a few months it failed. I returned it to Lowe's, and they replaced it with a new one in 2019. I don't expect any power tool to last forever, but when it DOES break down, I expect to be able to have it repaired or repair it myself. A couple of months ago (May 2025) the compressor failed to run at all. I suspected the starting capacitor, so I pulled it and looked at the specs on the side.
