I had 3 cobalt batteries go bad and fail to charge. They were between 1 to 2 years old. Neither customer service or the store would help me out. Very disappointed.
Surprisingly long life
Picked up a new drill and wanted a spare battery to keep the work flowing. This things last for a good while. I was at 50% after about 3 hours building a swing set before I had to call it a night. For someone that does small projects around the house this is great. Dont have to worry about switching batteries putting together some flat pack furniture.
Kobalt Garbage
Started buying Kobalt tools/batteries around 3 years ago, and what I'm finding is that the batteries last about 3 years, if you're lucky. And if you try to make a warranty claim, get ready for an uphill battle -- you'll need to sit on hold for an hour with overseas customer service, be told to go the store, wait in line at customer service, talk to someone who will need to talk to someone who will call someone who will put that someone on hold while they talk to someone, then someone who will n...

Love Kobalt
Kobalt batteries, in my opinion, are the best ones on the market. I have used ALL other brands and have found these to be the best. We are restoring a 7500 sqft home built in 1908 and believe me, our Kobalt batteries and tools, have gotten a workout for the past 4 years. Some of our battery arsenal is over 5 years old and still moving it!
Know volts when u go to buy
I needed the larger one to run my saw. But I can use this for my drill.
Just as powerful as any corded saw I have
I was never a big fan of cordless circular saws. While they are very convenient, they all fell short on power. Kobalt has solved that problem! I own a couple Craftsman 18v saws that I received as gifts. They can barely cut through 1/4" plywood. I recently used a friend's Dewalt 18v and was impressed we could rip 1x material pretty easy. Dependable
This is my second battery. The first one was awesome until someone tried to use it to start a car in an emergency it almost worked before over heating and dying. Its main use is on my drill for opening my pop up camper. It is definitely strong enough. It charges fast and last for opening the camper serval times before needing a recharge. I just don’t recommend it for trying to start a car 😊
