Light and convenient
I purchased this to cut the cord on my older plug in model, which required an extensive extension cord and the presence of mind to not actually cut the cord. It is fine for the regular hedges so far and I will be testing it on some unruly holly bushes soon. No issues at the moment, but it is still brand new. I will update if that changes.

light, easy to use, trims well First, I have not been a battery powered anything, having had battery tools years ago only to have the batteries die within a year and replacement cost as much as the tools. Appears well built and trims well so far.
I like the power it provides. I have not used it but twice so far and if anything changes I will update my review. It is a good weight, not too light which gives a sense of being well built but it might be a little heavy for some. I would recommend this because it is well priced.

Good set of hedge trimmers
So far these have done a great job. Trimmed several bushes and still had plenty of battery left. The battery might die quicker on thicker bushes but charging time is relatively quick. Great for the average home.

Lightweight and Strong. Hacked through some pretty tough and thick hedges with branches up to 3/4" thick without issue or bogging down. Impressive product and so much lighter and quieter than my old gas powered Echo Trimmer.

Look elsewhere if you don't have Kobalt batteries
Bad: Much heavier than the corded Black & Decker it replaces, and thus more tiring to use. Handle end annoyingly long. No button to lock trigger "on". Cost. Good: Uses same batteries as Kobalt leaf blower. Nice blade cover. It does the job. Overall: I'm not happy with the trimmer, but for infrequent use it will do.
