Buyer Beware!!!!!!
I just moved into a new condo which chose this shower floor. The floor is very slippery and the drain cover is a terrible design. The cover does not stay in place and several of the residents with this drain cover have actually fallen due to this poor design. The cover will pop up if stepped on while in the shower. Not sure who would put such a cover in the middle of the shower where you would stand. Be smart choose a different shower that is much safer

archer 42x42 shower pan
First one had a cracked corner. Stuff happens so i took it back and ordered another one. Second one was “warped”. The threshold was not flat and the pan rocked on the floor which was level. Took it back. Lowes was good to take both back. The price went up $75 in one month. So i did not buy one to try again for a third time.

Update to prior review
I was surprised by the excellent costumer service from Kohler. I didn't realize that theirs products carry lifetime warranty. Costumer service worked with me to activate the warranty and the drain cover got replaced. I see that the design was improved and fits perfectly.

DRAIN CAP SUCKS
I like the overall appearance but the drain cap sucks. After a couple of months the cap (rectangular lid) is very undstable due the cheap quality of the suction cup that holds it in place. Once the suction cup torn apart it becomes a safety issue... 2 stars for unsafe and poor quality of the lid.

Defective product design
Shower base is warped and does not sit level on the floor. Weak under footing requires elaborate wood shimming for load support to prevent pan flexing that will cause perimeter to break seals & leak. Internal deck has no texture for non-skid surface (safety issue). Fiberglass shell has thin sections <3/32" that will crack in service Avoid this product
