NIce mower, lots of traction and nice features.
I expect to be very pleased with this mower. It is easy to drive, cuts well and has nice features. My only complaint is that the manual is not very clear in it's directions. My old mower was really old and had none of the "new" features this mower has. I love the features, but would have liked to have more detailed instructions.

Poor service from Lowe's and poor QC from John Dee
The mower was delivered and the PTO wouldn't stay engaged so the blades didn't turn. Notified store 'manager' and was told they would bring me a replacement mower and pick up the defective one the same day. Next day and the defective mower is still in the yard and no replacement was delivered. The next day I talked to a different 'manager' and was told the defective mower would be picked up and a replacement would be delivered. Poor care and handling Poor delivery
Read the owners manual thoroughly after delivery before operating. Mine arrived with the emergency brake handle disconnected from the linkage. The hydrostatic bypass valve rod on the rear of motor was not fully depressed like its suppose to be. Even though the delivery driver started the mower and drove it into the front yard after lowering the truck ramp. This bypass valve rod is about 5" long and has to be pulled out in order to push the mower manually. I have no way of knowing how long or ho...

Great mower for the money.
17.5 HP motor bogs down when the blade is set very low in thick grass, but the mower is quick and handles well. Exactly what you'd expect from a Deere. Fantastic for an acre. Cleared my whole property in about 40 minutes on the first try.

Dead Battery
I Just bought this tractor two days ago and still it hasn’t started due to a dead worthless battery. You would think they would test start all tractors before selling.

Purchased unit and when I tried to receive free gift was unable. Called customer service but they could not connect me with associate, phone keep ringing no one answered then it disconnected. Tried customer service again no one picked up and it disconnected again. Would expect a more professional operation from store like Lowes
John Deere S100 riding mower!
I really didn’t like how the gas tank is just lose and not bolted down! The delivery people disengaged the transmission and I had no idea! So I put it back right and got it to go in gear! I called the John Deere place about the gas tank, stayed on the phone for hours no one answered! I had to move the fuel gauge to get it to work!On a brand new mower! Great Customer Service
I have used this tractor twice now and it cuts great! I am very happy with this purchase. The price was great and the service from purchase to delivery couldn’t have been better. The delivery person showed us all the features. It wasn’t just a deliver it and leave. Very happy with the product and Lowes!
