This is my first John Deere. I wasn't really sure what to expect. This seems like a nice mower. But on its second use -- under two hours of actual time -- it's already stalling and shutting off. I used new gas and have followed the (rather cryptic) manual to the letter. Now I'm stuck with having to rent a trailer to either return or service what is ostensibly a brand new mower. If you're looking for a mower, I'd explore other options carefully before purchasing this one.
Bad Experience
I picked up my mower and brought it home. I checked the oil and noticed it was a quart and a half low. I bought some oil and filled it up. I started the mower and went to engage the blades but they would not engage. While I was troubleshooting the mower I noticed oil all over my driveway. The only good thing is returning the mower was hassle free.
Great Mower!
Bought this mower about 1 week ago, and it does a great job so far. Do wish it had power steering, but none of them do at this time. Learning how to drive a regular mower vs a zero turn is a challenge, but it is better for me. Has plenty of power for a large yard.

Dud and Bad Service
I bought a John Deere S130 riding mower online from Lowe’s. There were multiple problems with the delivery. Lowe’s customer service was not good. When the mower arrived, the delivery team jury rigged a way to get the mower out of the truck. Fortunately, they did not hurt themselves. The mower would not start and I returned it. mower bagger bundle
mower is great. i was chatged well over bundle price. and was charged for bagger without my knowledge or approval. store told me they dont honor online purchases. so it ended there! very dissapointed
Faulty equipment/Terrible customer service
I purchased the tractor on 31 Mar 26. It was selling for $2899 with 48 months financing the same as cash and I found this a pretty attractive offer. It was delivered 4 Apr 26. The tractor is hard to start and stalls out. Total run time on the engine as of this writing is 0.08 hours. It's been in the shed pretty much since delivery on 4 Apr 26. On 6 Apr (5 Apr was Easter and Lowes was closed) I went to customer service. Lowes orders a new tractor; delivery set for 18 Apr 26. Seems like a long t...

Battery
I purchased this rider in March and after the initial start and running fine I now have to charge the battery every time just to get it to crank. Tried calling Lowes customer service and they are no help at all. I would recommend purchasing from a local dealer, you may pay more but I guarantee the service is there if needed. Of course now Lowes will send a blanket statement to contact their customer service but as I said they were no help at all.

Lawnmower purchase
This is the worse experience I have ever had with Lowe’s. Every appliance in my house including my metal roof and garage door came from Lowes. They even sold me a mulching package and they told me it included mulching blades. John Deere put the mulching box on and when I went back to Lowes they did order me the blades and now when they get here I guess I will have to figure out how to install them. No idea if it got serviced prior to delivery
Absolutely no idea whether or not the mower got serviced prior to delivery like it was supposed to have been serviced - the mower deck was not level and even higher than it should have been even in the highest position - not sure if it got lubricated like the manual says within 0 to 8 hours of use
