I went to the local Lowe’s in Salisbury Md. with the intention of purchasing the S130. I had no problem in finding a store attendant to help me. I showed him the mower I wanted. My new and first JD
After I went through the manual and tweaked the recommended adjustments, mostly the deck leveling, lube will come later, then it was off to the races. It mows a cleaner swath than I am use to. Is much faster as well. Getting use to the reverse controls but gets easier the more I use it. The dual run time and gas gauge is a plus. Inspect your Deliveries
I ordered the John Deere S130 and paid $39 to have it delivered. The hood was cracked so I had to refuse delivery. Very disappointed in the quality and care of the delivery. I paid with my Lowes credit card. It has been a complete hassle to get this order cancelled and get my account refunded. I've had to call 3 times now to get this situation cleared up. The last call was to complain that Lowes didn't automatically want to refund the delivery fee. Common sense would say refund it, since...

I was unhappy with the trouble I had trying to return the damaged John Deere they delivered the first time . They delivered me the new one an was to pick up the damage one . They wouldn’t take it because it had gas in it . So he called in and told the lady on the phone . I talked to her tried to explain to her that it had gas in it when it was delivered that the man drove down the driveway to the garage . She told me they don’t put gas in them . Faulty equipment/Terrible customer service
I purchased the tractor on 31 Mar 26. It was selling for $2899 with 48 months financing the same as cash and I found this a pretty attractive offer. It was delivered 4 Apr 26. The tractor is hard to start and stalls out. Total run time on the engine as of this writing is 0.08 hours. It's been in the shed pretty much since delivery on 4 Apr 26. Two hours of use, already stalling and stopping
This is my first John Deere. I wasn't really sure what to expect. This seems like a nice mower. But on its second use -- under two hours of actual time -- it's already stalling and shutting off. I used new gas and have followed the (rather cryptic) manual to the letter. Now I'm stuck with having to rent a trailer to either return or service what is ostensibly a brand new mower. If you're looking for a mower, I'd explore other options carefully before purchasing this one.

Bad Experience
I picked up my mower and brought it home. I checked the oil and noticed it was a quart and a half low. I bought some oil and filled it up. I started the mower and went to engage the blades but they would not engage. While I was troubleshooting the mower I noticed oil all over my driveway. The only good thing is returning the mower was hassle free.
Dud and Bad Service
I bought a John Deere S130 riding mower online from Lowe’s. There were multiple problems with the delivery. Lowe’s customer service was not good. When the mower arrived, the delivery team jury rigged a way to get the mower out of the truck. Fortunately, they did not hurt themselves. The mower would not start and I returned it. John Deere S130
It seems really fast and turning radius is great. Pretty powerful and able to cut high grass. But, extremely bouncy and you feel every bump. Worst is the cut. Since only two blades and side by side. No overlap in blades, this leaves a 2 to 3 inch strip of higher partially cut grass in the middle.

Don't buy from Lowes
I purchased this from the Suffolk, VA Main Street location. So to start off, when i purchased this, there was no owners manual and no second key. Not a good start. I get it home, and notice that the front bumper is missing. Never installed missing. I contact Lowes, and they recommended i contact John Deere, who was far more helpful than Lowes.
