John Deere S100 Lawn Sweeper Collection

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Very cheap made product and John Deere should be ashamed to put their name on it. Most of the hardware such as pins will have to be replaced after first use. It sweeps good after replacing those parts but after first year the drive wheel that turns sweeper locks up.

It helps if you have a spot to dump the hopper and then mulch up everything and I love the fact you don't have to get off the mower to dump the hopper. wasted money

I used this product twice within days of each other. The second time I used it the wheels locked up, and I haven't been able to use it since.

I would have thought used if that's what I wanted

we just bought a John Deere leaf sweeper to go with the lawn mower we bought from you this summer. after 10 hours of work this summer with the lawn mower, the motor blew up. Lowe's did fix the motor but it took 5 weeks in the middle of summer. now that I've got the sweeper home, I've assembled it but upon assembly I noticed some tears in the material, and the whole thing smelled like dog urine. if I had wanted to use sweeper that's what I would have gotten at a much better price. Not worth the money

Bought this summer and used it first time yesterday and today. It sweeps the leaves up great and throws them in the basket but by the time I finished the basket is torn completely up. Screws fell out and two poles sticking out. The velcro that holds the vinyl sides together has come loose. Leaves falling out the side. The pole handle bent somehow yesterday. Poor quality, not worth the expense

AVOID! For $500 you'd expect something durable, but you'd be wrong. I picked this up 3 days ago (assembled by Lowes), and put it to work today. I had 4 acres of grass clippings to pickup. I spent far too much time adjusting it and unclogging the wheels for my liking, but I was accepting of that. I ordered this item to be assembled, which it wasn't. Despite that, the lady that delivered it to my truck simply said "Well, it doesn't say that here...". No apology, no offer to correct the issue. Simply, nothing. She then "held the cart" while I attempted to lift the boxed item into my pickup. Seeing me straining, and her offering ZERO assistance, a customer stopped to help. Time Saver!

I have been around all types of lawn equipment for over 40 years and always mostly ignored these sweepers in favor of engine powered vacuum systems mounted to the mowing tractor. I bought this sweeper with half-hearted hope that it may collect the twigs, sticks, acorns, and all the other debris mature oak trees leave. Need to be handy-man and have storage space.

Have about 1/2 acer of yard area to pick up leaves and such. Thought this would be a great item to have and save some raking. Took LONG time to put together as book instruction were hard to read and understand. Had a few missing parts that I had to call and order. Works OK on leaves.
