Read the owners manual thoroughly after delivery before operating. Mine arrived with the emergency brake handle disconnected from the linkage. The hydrostatic bypass valve rod on the rear of motor was not fully depressed like its suppose to be. Even though the delivery driver started the mower and drove it into the front yard after lowering the truck ramp. This bypass valve rod is about 5" long and has to be pulled out in order to push the mower manually. I have no way of knowing how long or ho...
DOA
the battery was dead at delivery, I bought my own and it started, but every weekend is a battle for it to start. The seat lifted and it auto shut off and wont turn back on this time. I hosed off the tires after yard work and it wouldnt start back up after. I really regret it.
Mower turns on a dime. Very impressed with that.

I really didn’t like how the gas tank is just lose and not bolted down! The delivery people disengaged the transmission and I had no idea! So I put it back right and got it to go in gear! I called the John Deere place about the gas tank, stayed on the phone for hours no one answered! I had to move the fuel gauge to get it to work!On a brand new mower! Working with customer service was great.
I received the mower on April 16,2026. Put gas in it to operate the machine and it ran for about 30 minutes, off and on. When I put it away for the day, I turned it off and I heard a noise coming from the engine area like metal dragging against another piece of metal. (Maybe a loose belt sheave?) I called customer service and they were really great about exchanging it with another mower that arrived on April 19. That mower appears to be OK but I haven't really been able to use it due to wet weat...
