Best paddle bits for electricians

These are possibly not as fast as screw-tipped spade bits through clean wood, but they are far better with drywall and plywood. Because the center blade doesn't clog with glue and drywall dust, they always perform well--unless you're like me and don't realize there's concrete behind the drywall.

How Are These Bits Supposed to Fit in That Box?

I bought these yesterday and went to put the bits into the included case. There isn't any directions or even a picture of the bits in that box. This shouldn't be a puzzle. I was able to everything but the 1 1/2" in the box. Any suggestions?

Is this a practical joke?

The case is honestly so bad that it makes you wonder if this is some sort of practical joke the company is playing on people. Did they accidentally include a case for a different product with these? Did even a single person at Irwin try to put these things in that case? It's so hilariously bad that it feels disrespectful. Irwin, what on earth is going on over there? Are you ok?

Good bits / Bad Storage

The bits themselves appear to be very good. Cut through wood joists smoothly and quickly. The included case is worthless for these bits unless you modify it. The bits don't fit. You can side stack the smaller ones but I couldn't find a way to make the larger diameter bits fit in a way to allow you to close the lid.

Irwin do you not care?

The bits are fine, the storage case is useless way to small for all of the bits. Just buy the bits and save a little money

Bits too long for the case!

I've had to do research to find out how these bits are supposed to fit in the case. There's nothing printed in the package. Irwin's website has instructions, but even those are bad. They give you instructions on which bits to place on which side of the case, but they're all about 1/8" too long, so they don't lay flat. It's terrible design. I returned mine. I can't believe that Irwin would produce a case for a product that simply won't fit in the box.

Bits are a dud

Used the 1" spade bit on one(1) 2x4 when it became ineffective and could not be used again. Additionally, the package contaied a case that the purchaser would have assumed would be able to house the 10 bits, but that proved incorrect since it was too small for the bits over 3/4 diameter in width.

The bits are great but they don't fit in the case.

The bits work great, as Irwin always makes quality tools. But the case is too short for the bits. I had to cut out the dividers with a razor knife to get them to fit.
