Blades chipped and deformed from normal use

I've only cut copper with these mostly 10-14ga and probably only around 30 cuts in and almost the entire cutting surface is chipped or deformed. The hardening/tempering on these must have been done poorly.

Great Product for cutting large gauge wire

Lowe's has a large selection of Ideal tools for the Electrical Trade. The Cable Cutter I received works wonders with the following: 1) Cutting multi conductor wire from portable cable 18/2 to 10/4 up to type SO. 2) 14/3 to 6/3 in types NM to SE with conductors either in copper or aluminum. Good Product

This cable cutter is a good buy. Along with the locking mechanism, the excellent grips and the super sharp blades I'll use it quite frequently. Cutting an RG59 coax cable it worked perfectly. No extra effort at all, just a clean, quick cut.

Clean cuts with little effort

The quality of this cable cutter is excellent. The finish clean and the handles are very comfortable. The handles are long enough so that you have a very good mechanical advantage. The cuts are very easy and clean as you can see in the pic. This cutter works much better than linemans pliers and because of the curved cutter head it does not deform the cable. I would recommend this cutter to anyone who does any electical work.

Higher Price

We bought these $49 wire cutters because they were Klein that's supposed to be higher quality. They do work well. Unfortunately, we also found cheaper cutters that work just as good.

Tuff cable

I only had a small requirement for this cutter. Although it did the job of cutting a #3 copper cable, it took considerable effort, and some rotation to get the job done.

Very good for its purpose

Very effective in cutting up to 4 guage cable.. Takes extra effort to cut 2 gauge cable but can be done if you center cable within cutters and apply a lot of muscle. Easier than linesman pliers for 8 thru 4 gauge cable. Handle well contoured and size easy to carry with other electrical tools.

Good product for the value

The cutters work well are plenty long for good leverage. They cut 12-4 wire well only problem I see is the jaws need to hardened to cut steel wire. Grips easy to hang on to even with wet hands. Overall good product for the price.

Cutting Machine!

This cable cutter is great and is very easy to use. This cable slices the cable in half with very little required force. This cutter is a quality tool and the best part is that it's made in the USA!

Love these, purchase to cut steel braided lines and they cut phenomenal. Just what I needed.
