This set includes the IDEAL 10-Pack Cat5e Rj45 Modular Plug (85-147) and Data Voice RJ45/RJ11 Modular Plug Crimp Tool Kit Data Crimper (33-396). Cat 5e 8P8C (eight position/eight contact) modular plug connectors which support TIA/EIA standards for twisted pair cabling up to 100 MHz. Plugs are designed and manufactured to support all 100Ω cable wiring schemes including the widely used TIA-568A and TIA-568B configurations. IDEAL modular plugs are manufactured to strict industry standards and tolerances that utilize traditional preparation and termination methods. These proven and preferred methods allow for improved compatibility among manufacturers and devices around the world without the need for special tooling or preparation methods. The data/voice modular plug crimp kit is a basic level termination kit for installers who occasionally terminate modular plugs. The tool is designed to be compact in size, yet provide a consistent and reliable crimp. The kit also includes 20 modular plugs for installers that are just making/repairing a few cables.

50 micro-inch gold plating on contact mating area for long term reliability in connectivity, even after hundreds of mating cycles
3-Prong contact design for use with solid or stranded 24-26 AWG insulated copper conductors, maximum conductor diameter of 0.042 in./1.07 mm, maximum recommended cable outer jacket diameter 0.175 in./4.5 mm
Designed to work seamlessly with IDEAL Telemaster crimping tools, also compatible with industry standard modular plug crimping tools meeting specifications
Compatible with industry standard mod plug crimping tools
Permanent connection - once crimped they cannot be reused
Primary and secondary strain relief supports to retain cable jacket and minimize conductor movement once crimped

They are ethernet connectors. I saw them on self and they were marked down. I wasn't too happy knowing my purchase will be going to uber rich investment firms (like Vanguard, Blackrock and JP Morgan Chase), but I need to update my network wiring at home

I am so glad that Lowes carries these. When I asked the guy in the area, he didn't think you carried them. We looked for them together and didn't find them. These jacks will last forever and you can rely on

You can rely on these connectors. They will last forever. The gold plated ends ensure low resistance and after using all 25 I did not have one fail or one bad jack in the entire pack like other vendors. I have been using them in my laptop every day and the ends have stayed in good shape and don't seem to wear out from the constant flexing. Three of ten were defective

I bought a ten-pack to make a few patch cables. Of the ten connectors in the package, three of them were defective. Inside the connector there are supposed to be eight channels which guide the individual wires into the appropriate position under the pins. On three of my connectors those channels were missing.
