Have Had Nothing but Trouble
Had a new patio cover built and had two Lantern Bay fans professionally installed. Worked well from about 30 days. Then one of the fans would respond intermittently to the remote. Read the instructions and "re-paired". This is when the trouble really started. After re-pairing the fan, i noticed that the other fan was re-paired and not the flakey one. Beautiful Fan in our Bedroom
We bought this fan for our bedroom and I started to install it. We have a 10-foot ceiling, and I discovered that the downrod that came with the fan was really, really short. I had to buy a new down rod. Substituting a longer downrod was not much of a problem, except the grounding screw hole was located in a spot that wouldn't work with the hanging assembly. Very Disappointed With This Fan
Right from the start I have been disappointed in this Hunter fan. I bought it to replace an older fan where only one of the three bulb sockets worked. Well this fan has even less light output with the two included bulbs than my old fan did with one bulb. Even with the dimmer set all the way up, the light is not much brighter than a nightlight. Fell from ceiling in CCW motion
Originally gave this a 5 star rating. We bought two for our extra bedrooms. They worked very well until had too change directions for winter mode. Instead of rxternal direction switch its inside the Lantern section so you have to remove the light cover to click the switch. Its tedious since you have to use screwdriver and screws are small so yes its a pain. After switching switch to CCW direction the fan rotated itself off the downroad and came crashing onto the bed then bounced onto the floor....
Transmitter Problem
I have purchased 4 of these fans. 2 fans were installed without a problem. The other 2 fans were installed and would power off and on intermittently. The problem turns out to be the transmitter supplied with the fan. The 2 fans that had no problem were sent with blue transmitters. The 2 fans with problems were sent with green transmitters. Hunter 54" Lantern Bay, NOT GOOD!
Bought 3 Hunter 54" Lantern Bay ceiling fans, only 1 works now. Little less than 2 years old in a 15x35 covered patio. One seized up, One stopped working and the middle fan still works. Within a year I had to replace remote receiver. Just bad fans. They were not cheap either. Will never buy Hunter again.

SPECS are wrong, Theres NO Flush Mount Option
