Motor makes a noise. No way to make it stop. Would like to replace it with another fan. Too noisy.
Hunter does not sell replacement switch.
The fan switch had broken. This switch is integrated and holds the glass shade on. Could not take back because we did not have receipt and hunter would not replace under warranty. Ordered replacement switch with part number provided by the Hunter Company representative and paid about $30 for the replacement including shipping. Switch was not same as in the fan. Having installed this fan in our current home, in building our new home, we wanted the same fan. It's proven itself to be a very good fan. Hunter fans were in many businesses when I was growing up in Virginia and were very effective then as now. We count on the reliability of Hunter fans and the two we now use have just proven their worth. I replaced an old fan with this Creekside model and it was as simple as uninstalling the old one, mounting the new bracket, attaching the fan wires to the house wiring and following the rest of the simple yet detailed step by step instructions in the manual provided in the box. I have a pair of these in my house currently. The fans work great. They're quiet and reliable.The installation fee from Lowe's is 150% of the purchase price of he ones I just bought . Very pleased with this fan. They didn’t have it on display in the store, but looking at it now, it looks nicer than most of them in the store. The light grey blades matches well with the bronze and white globe. At medium speed i do not hear anything and it feels just right for sleeping. Just installed my first ceiling fan, non-expert. 2 hours reading every detail. Just perfect. Take a picture of the old wire connections before undoing it. Don't get a small fan that you have to run it on high, let the blades work for you. The original ceiling fan was too small. Nice but issues
These are great fans I bought 5. They work well and look nice. Only issue is at the time of purchase I was told they can be installed without light fixture (I needed two to be hung without light). Website including hunter states they can be hung without light. Customer service I store said the same. There are no instructions or compatible parts with this showing how to hang without light. Forget calling hunter fans their customer service was completely useless. If you need a fan with a light fix...
Solid Choice
I bought this fan for the master bedroom because it had the look I wanted and the Hunter reputation. I have not been disappointed, it's a great choice for the price. Overall it looks great and is very quiet. There is a minor "hum" when it's running at low speed but most people wouldn't notice. The LED lights provide good lighting compared to the old "nipple" light fixture and CFL bulbs the builder provided.
