I received this item via delivery. It arrived in a box that was barely taped shut that obviously wasn’t the original packaging. Upon ‘opening’ the box I found the spider already assembled, tossed into the bottom of the box, with some bubble wrap set on top of it that wasn’t protecting anything. I saw this item displayed in a store today. Alongside it was an instruction manual describing how to assemble the spider. Flaming Spider

I was excited to add this to my pumpkin themed collection and drove 34 miles to get it because shipping wasn't offered and Lowes charges $79 for delivery. When I got home and put it together and put new batteries in it turns out the face mouth area doesn't light up only the torso body area. It looks much brighter in picture but in person it is super dim Very disappointed will be returning and not sure if I'll buy again.

I purchased this flaming pumpkin spider mid season last fall. Worked fine for the first week, then it wouldn’t stay lit up using the timer function. Changed batteries twice with new ones and both times it would stay lit up for maybe 15 mins and then turned off and wouldn’t light back up. Super bummed because it’s a pretty cool prop to display in our yard. The light up function seems to be a consistent complaint from most all of us that purchased this last year.

Needs A Few Upgrades Overall Happy With Purchase

I bought him last year and the timer didn't work more than 20 minutes. This year I pulled him out and added a blow mold light with a green flame LED light. I'm loving him again. Sadly, I also had to touch up his paint chipping areas on him. He is now clear coated and ready for Halloween! He is unique and our neighborhood loved him!

no battery life, awesome looking

this spider is awesome, I love him... but.... major power issues. won't stay on, maybe an hour sometimes, no motion or sound activation. you have to change the batteries every couple days or it's just not working properly or as advertised, as I mentioned no motion or sound activation. I was so excited and now I'm so bummed. $100 for someone that doesn't work, thumbs down. agree with other review, it's a nice paperweight. noticing a similar pattern in all Lowe's products this year.

Looks great, when it works!

I added new batteries immediately when opening, and I set it up in a web. It looked awesome, but I noticed the spider would cut off. I checked that the batteries were in correctly, door screwed shut. It stays on for about 20 minutes tops! It’s so frustrating because it looks really cool and of course it’s sold out. It’s basically a $100 paper weight, because you can’t really see it at night. Really disappointed.

Terrible quality,

I was excited about this item until I received it, paint chips off very easily, the legs are attached with two small staples, it was done so poorly that they will probably only last one season, all interior pieces are barely hot glued in place. Screw for battery door would not budge and had to be cut to open, This is a 40 dollar prop at best and will need heavy modifications to last more than a season

Don't last not worth money

Bought 2 and my parents bought 2. We had them out about a month the paint already chipping and the green plastic pieces on their back had come off with no way to glue them back on. Would never pay 100.00 for these... they are worth about 30.00 to me

Sturdy, unique Halloween prop

This is a very cool and unique Halloween prop. It’s made of very sturdy plastic. The lighting effect inside is bright and very eerie. I love the combination of evil jack o lantern and spider. My only complaint is the price is just a little too high for the size. It’s large, but I think 20 less would make it more of a bargain for what you get. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Not worth it

It's built sturdy but it hardly lights up. It is to expensive for what little it does, not worth what i paid for it. I just looks good during the day because at light you can't even see it.
