Works but can glitch and no notifications
It works pretty well. You need to have the Google Home app to install the thermostat and make any changes to settings. In the app, it is easy to set up a schedule or turn it on/off while traveling. I've had this thermostat for 5 years and it worked well until it started glitching and occasionally would not send the heat signal to the HVAC but the app showed that it did. Easy install. We had no C-wire, but Google quickly sent us a free power connector. One of the smallest smart thermostats on the market if you are looking for something a liitle more discrete.

The Nest was fairly easy to install. I don't like that it's mainly operated by phone. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it manually.

Bought this nest thermostat for our Airbnb at the beach and it does a great job of learning when there’s no one there. It’s also wonderful to be able to control it remotely from our phones from seven hours away.

Bare bones device - Probably not what you want
Purchased two of these for my home looking forward to a smart home upgrade. They do function, but are extremely limited in their integration with smart home apps and features. You CANNOT use sensors for separate rooms. You CANNOT automate based on humidity (even though the device measures it). There's really no advantage over existing thermostats.
