So far so good! The quality is great! I bought this so that way I can have recorded footage and it does it so well with the AI, I know when I get packages and I know when the packages get picked up. I can literally hear my neighbors conversations from across the street!
Does not work with Nest app - only Home
My original wired Gen 1 Nest Doorbell had been having issues for about a year, and finally quit. Complicated and NOT user friendly!
The Google Nest battery doorbell looks great and has a clear video image. However, the maintenance issues are incredibly non-user friendly and counter-intuitive. First, if you change your wifi router, you have to disconnect the doorbell, return it to factory settings, and reinstall as-if-new (whereas the Google thermostat just has you re-enter the new wifi address). After 4 years, this Google Nest doorbell failed. It was a little challenging finding a wireless model. A Lowe's customer service assistant took a great deal of time to help, ultimately ordering it online in the store with the product shipped to our home.
