Two failed in less than three years

Perfect choice, easy install for almost any DIYer!

Great smarts & remote access, known hardware fault

The backplane to wire the thermostat is great - the circular mount is something everyone should have. The Nest hardware itself is fine. However - both the 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen (this unit) have had issues for nearly ten years with the relays on the backplane. Horrible.

Horrible product - nothing but issues from day one. Turning down low at night in freezing temps - common issue across many users. Make the changes to stay at a certain temp then of course reverts back. Finally got it - contacted customer support numerous times - weeks later - still no response.
