Easy to Setup and Install.

I purchased 1 Wired (S3003LWES) and 2 Battery (S3000BWES) to replace old detectors. All units were well packaged. I installed the Wired unit first and then added the two battery units the next day. Check the date of manufacture

I purchased this device after quite a bit of research. Smoke detectors are only good for 10 years after manufacture. Since this is a smart device it will stop working at 10 years. Beware of “old” inventory sold as new

Purchased new, I thought. Box was covered with dust, but I find this the norm at Lowe’s these days. Open for installation, the date on the 10 battery was 2021. Now it’s only a 8 year battery. Installation advice

I have 7 Nest Protects. They did not last as long as advertised before failing (7 years for Gen 1, 10 years for Gen 2). The instructions say to connect the black wire in the connector to the black wire in the wall, same for the white wires, and to cap off the red wires. Get a volt-meter before you do that, because in my home, the power is in the red wire, not the black wire, and I've had two visits from an electrician ($$$) to install these correctly.
