Too big too fast!
I bought this to seal some minimal open spaces form a window A/C Unit. The foam came out too much and too fast. It was hard to use. We ended up using clear caulk instead.

Oops i did it again
bought a can of Great Stuff to seal a few small gaps around the house. Somewhere between opening the nozzle and pulling the trigger, I apparently entered into a legally binding agreement to have expanding foam become a permanent part of my life. The gap is gone. The draft is gone. My confidence in my ability to use this product neatly is also gone. This foam expanded into places I didn’t know existed. It found cracks that weren’t on the blueprints. It bonded to wood, concrete, gloves, clothing...

Fills gaps and cracks. Expands a lot. If you need less expansion use window and door version. Other brands are also better for cold temperatures

Good, flexible waterproof insulation
The normal Great Stuff bottle is solid for filling in gaps and cracks. I was using it to fill gaps when insulating my crawl space. It is good for moisture and insulation. Use the door/window gap bottles instead if you are using to fill around wooden frames as this regular stuff expands a bit too much for that purpose. The negatives is that it is difficult to use again - use acetone on the straw immediately after use to clean so that you can reuse.
