Seems like these units have a electronic problem. Hardly 3 years in and Its doing a code 3 all the time. Run test and it will run correctly in field service mode. When it ran it was fine I suppose. Nothing great about it. Always thought it kept an odor that is very hard to get out regardless of the fresh vent system. We keep it very clean and don't have pets. Junk Machine
I have owed this washer for about 4 hrs. It was a great machine & did a great job the first 3 yes. Then last year it started getting a Water Supply Error that would come & go. Now the mother board has gone out causing the door to lock & unlock so you can't ven do a load of laundry period! Then we found out it will cost as much as we paid for the washer to fix it. Also advised NOT to fix it because if we do it will just cause other components to fail. And we will just have to keep repairing it!!!...

The washer has been restored
This is a replacement from what I originally had. Unbeknownst to me this brand has issues. Let’s just hope this second time around gives me less issues than before. Hopefully. It does a great job with washing and rinsing you just have to be careful for when the loads stop running appropriately. That’s when you will probably have to get a new washer like myself.

MODEL GFW550SSN5WW / Serial # LV336226N We have had this machine less than 2.5 years - purchased 10/2023. The harness wiring to the pump is not working (Pump and computer board checked out). They assume it is the harness wiring. Don’t buy this machine
I am 83 years old and have used a lot of different washing machines This is the worst I have ever used. The mold buildup is terrible First you have to lay on the floor to open a filter and then fight to remove it scrub it out lay back down to replace. And the soap drawer I have to remove everyday we do laundry and dump standing water out leave it out till it dries completely then replace it. Or it ends up moldy. The GE front-load washer experienced premature failure approximately three years after purchase. The unit stopped draining properly and left standing water in the drum. Great Machine
I like the washer, it works well and love the functions on it. Just have a couple of things I don't like. On the pedestal, it makes it too high to put the laundry soap and fabric softener in. I'm 5'4 and it's a reach. Why not make a lower pedestal. I wish I would not have even bought the pedestal, it's really not needed. The other issue is the venting.
