I have had this machine for 3 years now. I first started experience issues after the first year with the washer leaking. After the repair the machine started to not lock after you start the load. That started so happening constantly start a load and come back and the washer never started cause the lock didn’t engage on the door. Now my washer will not even complete a cycle and drain the water completely. It quits through the cycle and leaves my clothes puddled in water. Overall I wouldn’t never ...
BUYERS BEWARE
This washer failed in less than two years of purchasing. It started making a weird noise when spinning, and then it wouldn’t spin at all. It is so unfair, specially in today’s economy, to spend hundreds of dollars in a useless machine. Just get an old type washing machine with agitator (or without depending on preference) and you’re good to go for many more years and it will be easily and affordable replacement parts for those.
H2O Error from the very first wash
Terrible quality! Gave a H20 error from the very first wash. Did a quick google search and looks like its a very common problem with this washer. I cant beleive GE keeps producing bad qualty product without fixing the known issues. We are considering to return it back.

Spacious, Gentler on Clothing, with TONS of Functionalities
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn’t sure how I felt about transitioning from a top loader to a front loader but after doing some reading, I decided it give it a shot. Highlights of my research - front loaders clean better, are more gentle on clothing, and dry clothing better with their spin cycle. The first thing I noticed was how many more fancy features and cycles of had compared to my old top loader. I’m all about speed, so I love that you can do a wash in as quickly ...

Lasted less than 3 years
This machine is a piece of junk. Spent over $800 on it initially. The computer board went out at exactly 2 years and 6 months. Spent $500 to replace that. Repairman gave me a 3 month guarantee and told me that GE was one of the worst for this issue and he was constantly replacing them. 4 months later it’s not working AGAIN and appears to be exactly the same problem. Will never purchase a GE washer again.

Not reliable - get the warranty
We bought this Washer 18 months ago and it has failed. The hoses started leaking onto the inverter which caused the whole washer to not work. It does a great job at cleaning clothes but I am disappointed the washer only lasted 18 months. Thankfully, I purchased the warranty which saves some of the hassle of having to pay for new components and the repair service but I will be without a washer for a month while the parts are ordered and GE does not availability to come back out to perform the w...

1.5 years later..
Disappointed is an understatement. We bought this washer in November of 2024. Ran great then suddenly it keeps stopping mid cycle and stays full of water. Had appliance repair come do an estimate and the control board needs to be replaced, which will cost $710 basically the same price we paid for it! Who’s to say if we did fix it that it won’t just happen again in another year and a half. This seems to be a very common issue not covered by the limited warranty. Horrible 10/10 do not recommend!

My washing machine is screeching “REPLACE ME”
Purchased 31 months ago. Spin cycle recently started making a screeching noise that has been getting louder with every wash. Called the number that Lowes gave us to find out that GE doesn't repair their own stuff, I'm talking to a company called Bodewell. Bodewell doesn't service our area. They suggested that I search the internet for an authorized GE repair shop. The closest place charges $150 for site visit and estimates the parts (based on my description) at $600. That's basically what...

Lifespan of 2 years - Don't Get w/o Warranty
I recommend not to buy unless you plan to be under warranty for 2+ years or expect to pay over $250 in parts to possibly have it fixed (which didn't happen to me). The washer worked for a good amount of time, but suddenly stopped functioning completely. It seems that a common problem with this washer is that the Main Control Board can be overloaded or short circuit and burn one of the vital components, causing tasks like adding water or unlocking the door impossible to do. Unfortunately I didn't...

Pick another brand - part 2
I previously left the following review... We bought our GE Ultrafresh Washer and matching dryer on 5/20/23 and on 2/28/26 the washer quit working. I called GE and they got me in contact with a local repair shop. They came out and said we need a new control board. They were here today (3/6/26), installed the control board and told us we also need an inverter board. It is going to cost us close to $600 to repair our $800 washer that is less than three years old since only the motor is covered unde...
