not even 3 years old and having problems
purchased this in November 2023. it is now July 2026 and is currently having problems with cooling. coils get cleaned on a regular basis so I know it's not that. light on the control board flashes but unable to look up with the sequence means, the freezer struggles to maintain temperature, and it shut down the ice maker. not very impressed for spending close to $1,000 on an appliance. but that's the problem with modern day appliances they're built to be disposable nothing's made to last like it ...
Very bad delivery and customer service
Had a terrible experience with Lowe's. We've been waiting three weeks for a refrigerator. Our other refrigerator is dying. Truck shows up on the day that we're supposed to have delivery Which was supposed to be in the morning and it was pushback 5 hours So it took up the whole day. Delivery drivers show up. No temperature regulation, everything freezes
It's never worked right and warranty service has not fixed it. Everything freezes, including the water filter so it doesn't make ice or dispense water. If I wanted a giant freezer then I'd be happy, but I ordered a side by side fridge.

20 months later - no cooling whatsoever
I bought this without an extended warranty (would not have bought a GE had I known I needed one). I came home from out of state to kitchen flooded from melted ice. Lights and blower work, but 60 degrees inside freezer and refrigerator (all groceries lost). GE is sending me a $100 food replacement Visa (what a joke), and MAYBE they will give a discount on the necessary part if my own repair person orders the part from them. $1,249; delivery down expense; and $300+ groceries down the drain!!! I have no idea if this fridge is any good as what was delivered to me, a week late, was a dusty, sticker covered, banged up floor model without a power cord. Not what I ordered. A few dislikes worth mentioning
First nuisance is there is no lunch meat/ cheese drawer and on the door, the bottom two shelves are so narrow they are almost useless. Second nuisance is the ice machine sometimes jams up, takes forever to fill up after emptying, and it will sometimes drop cubes of ice down into the freezer when utilizing the ice dispenser for some reason? So we always have random ice cubes in the freezer. And third, it scratches very easily. My son moved a magnet around on it and the fridge is now scratched up....

The fridge has decent space and a good freezer. The ice machine even works well. The trouble is the fridge temperature. We noticed through two thermometers we keep in our fridge that the temperature was reaching 45 degrees at times. Don’t buy, ice machine won’t work
Don’t buy, bought fridge after two months and the ice dispenser no longer works. When I turn it on condensation appears inside the freezer and it makes a loud humming sound. I tried to get in touch with bodewell and (GE maintenance) and I can’t schedule a maintenance person to come. When I tried to register the item there website wouldn’t recognize it.
