Do not Buy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not buy!! This is my first time buying an GE product and this dryer is not making a good case for me to become a repeat buyer. I had to replace the burnt heating element wire twice already and it just burnt again so this makes three times since I brought it three years ago. Its very frustrating to see that this is a common issue and still GE will not do anything about the situation. I spent too much money on this combo for it to need repairs...

Doesn't Dry

This dryer is absolutely terrible. My family and I have had ongoing issues with both this AND the washer since it was purchased a few years ago. This dryer may look pretty but it does not dry your clothes. Most of the time, the clothes are still damp or completely wet after a full cycle. And that is only if the dryer runs for the whole cycle. The dryer usually cuts off 5 minutes into me dryer my clothes. I don't know what the "sensor dry" is supposed to be "sensing" because my clothes are wet wh...

GREAT UNIT.

It's probably in its last leg. Or a part needs to be replaced ... its producing heat. I vacuumed out the front screen area and the rear/egress as best I could. Withe flex pipe off it flows good cfm. The dryer takes 3 times to dry @90 minutes each. Is it getting too little heat, is there something else? Idk. It's been awsome until now. Anyone got ideas?

Failure in 3 1/2 years

Bought this GE washer/dryer combo about 3 1/2 years ago. we have not been happy with the performance of the washer...always goes out of balance. Now the dryer has stopped like someone unplugged it from the wall! The wall outlet tested fine...even tried the outlet for the washer (it runs ok) but no help. With the help of a local appliance parts supply It looks like the main circuit board has failed. The cost of the circuit board is almost as much as the dryer! This just shouldn't happen to a drye...

Good dryer, while it lasts.

Not built to last. The features are nice but it doesn't matter when a dryer that is that expensive barely lasts 5 years

Disappointed

I bought the matched set about 5 years ago. Took me a while to get used to the low water level on the washer, but that was okay. I like the capacity and looks of the dryer, but it has been a disappointment from the beginning. The alert that the dryer is stopping is very soft, so no one hears it and the clothes get wrinkled. Takes forever to dry

This dryer has been nothing but problems from day 1. 3 years old and it takes 2 hours for clothes to dry. I am in the process of buying a new dryer because I figure I'll save enough in utility cost to pay for it.

Too new to know yet

We just had this installed on April 5, 2021, so we don't have a lot of experience with it yet. I'm still learning how to use it. But so far, it seems to take a really long time to dry anything completely. I have to put each load on the maximum temp and time just to get everyday underthings, socks, t-shirts etc. damp. Good, but 1 serious flaw

This GE dryer has been good so far, but the lint filter is a real problem. I knew when I purchased the dryer it was much smaller than filters in other dryers, but I was hoping it would not be a problem. If you are a pet household such as ours, do not purchase a GE dryer as they all have the dinky lint filters that do not catch anything except fine lint. I had a GE Profile dryer for 12 years and I loved it! Our washer died and my wife insisted on getting a matching pair to replace the set with the broken washer. Since we really liked the GE brand we purchased a matching set with this dryer—big mistake! The lint screen housing doesn’t have holes big enough to let much of anything through. We have dogs.
