Do not buy
We replaced our Samsung washer and dryer with this GE set. Every time the washer is in the spin cycle it literally sounds like a lawn mower is in running in the basement. Everyday we regret not staying with the Samsung brand. Save yourself the headache and do not buy this washer.

My history/experience with GE appliances is VERY favorable. I had a side by side refrigerator that lasted for 13 years that never needed a repair, that I replaced with another GE refrigerator, fingers crossed that I get a good life expectancy from. Now I just replaced a front load washer (GE) that lasted for 14 years, & once again I decided to go with GE. Don't look at anything else but this set.
The features and different options this washer has makes it worth every penny. It connects with the dryer and my phone to let me know when the cycle is complete. I never thought I would say a washer is stunning, but this Sapphire Blue is really so pretty. I am very happy that we went with it. It's quiet and the option with the detergents is great.

Horribly noisy washer
This GE washer looks great and performs as well as any other washer on the market, but is excessively loud and noisy. It essentially offers all the same features and capacity as our previous LG Washer but is so much noisier even to the point that closing the laundry room door does little to drown out the noise.
