Ok so far - but have questions

I like the look of the surface and so far (only 2 weeks) it cleans fine. Not crazy about the knobs in front, but it had two flexible burners that I did want, so I'll have to get used to knobs in the way. I read a lot of bad reviews on many different smooth cooktops on different models and different brands - so I'm trying to be very, very careful about cleaning it and not setting anything on it. GE burner is good buy

So far so good, we like this cooktop. It replaced a Bosch which was always a problem, shut down every time water spilled on surface. And was all touch buttons, which is annoying . This one has knobs which can easily be adjusted in whatever increments you desire . And liquid spills does not shut down the burners. It’s stainless and looks good and is cheaper too.

Already broken

I replaced a 6 year GE Profile cooktop with this one since it was he only one I could find that fit the hole in my granite countertop. Purchased this to replace the same product from 5 years ago. Actually, not quite the same product as the earlier purchase was the "Profile" version and had stainless accents. The best feature about this product is that all GE cooktops fit in the same cut-out. That means the homeowner can replace it easily. This is the third replacement in 25 years. Buyer's Remorse

I love GE products and have always had GE ovens and cooktops. I was so excited to replace my old white coil-burner electric cooktop with this smooth-top 5-burner. I've only had this product installed for a few weeks, but my excitement did not last long. Here are the issues with this product: 1. Not perfect but usable

The stove top works great. Although it has 5 burners you are only able to use a couple at one time because of the closeness and pans not fitting the space. We thought the knobs in front center would be a nice feature, but they are the way for cleaning and moving pans around.

Decent product

I am pleased with this product except for the placement of the controls. My previous cooktop had the controls on the side which was great. These are at the front and cumbersome to clean.

Be careful in retrieving stove top from package.

It was easy to install, but had to wait for cook-top trim to arrive to finish installation.

Nice for the price

I purchased a home with a 30 inch electric cooktop that needed to be replaced. It was cost prohibited to have the granite cut to allow for a larger cooktop to be installed. The unit works very well and I chose it for the 5 burners but in reality if you use large pots on the large burners it is difficult to fit small pots in place on the small burners.
