Good meter, dumb limit on capacitance

Fluke has always made top notch products. Up until this point Fluke has been a blanket recommend to anyone. This is a great meter but has a weird limit on capacitance. It won't test anything BELOW 10uf. Which is common in small motors and HVAC equipment. To be fair it does state this in the specs but how many people would look into the specs for capacitor settings. Excellent, rock solid meter BUT

Michael mentioned one aspect that, for some, may be a larger negative than I personally feel: the sound level of the continuity test beep. The sound is there but difficult to hear. It isn't so much the sound db level, it's the frequency of the tone. I think we have all heard of the "mosquito tones" that younger kids use in the classroom with their cellphones: kids can hear the higher frequency (14khz ?) but the teacher, being older, can't. The 373 test tone seems to be just a couple of hz lower...

Worked well for my application - battery leakage

The 373 was working well for my application. I brought it to my lab for a demonstration and when I turned it on and nothing. I went to change the batteries and the Energizer Industrials leaked. Damaged the battery terminals but did not reach the main board. Fluke service provided part #s, but you cannot purchase the parts. I even offered to buy the entire back, again not offered. Disappointed they are not offered as a replacement part.

Change the listing on it.

I din't get to use it but I had to return the meter because it is listed as an AC/DC clamp meter. It only reads AC current and NOT DC current through it's clamp. Please change the listing.

Rock solid Fluke quality

I've been through a number of multimeters in my lifetime and I've owned my Fluke 373 for four years now and it's still going strong despite regular use and, I have to admit, a fair amount of abuse. Well worth the money, especially considering it includes capacitance testing and the clamp meter function and, of course, the Fluke quality and durabilty. I'd gladly buy another one but I doubt I'll ever have to.

Reliable

I bought a 374 meter just to be able to read DC amps. It was the only reason, how ever now I use it all the time. The only down side is that is one of the older models and is still priced High for an "old model meter". Also battery does not last as long as on other fluke meters I have own. Overall it's a meter I will use in a daily basis.

Wastewater Tech

I have the 373 model and LOVE IT! I use it while cycling the pumps on during my weekly rounds. Just this little step has helped me save clients money and work for myself. I can now see when the pump is running harder and can fix the issue prior to burning the pump up. Thank you Fluke for your outstanding products and service.

Great Service/customer support

I am a HVAC mechanic, had a clamp 333, took it in for service, un-repairable, Fluke sent me this meter at no charge, great product, when measuring voltage it finds it and stays constant unlike others i have owned, I will never buy any other brand of meter!

Solid meter BUT!

As previously mentioned the test tone on the continuity is very difficult to hear. As a builder of industrial control panels, I rely on a continuity test as a QC check. I'm not interested in the actual ohms just want to hear that beep. TURN IT UP FLUKE! By the way I'm 37 yrs old and have great hearing.

Could be better

Why is it $100 more dollars just to get capacitance down below 10 and no min/max? Once again you have to over pay for the simplest of features. I have you buy a 374 just to be able to do that!
