High quality multi-meter.
I use this model at work and it is great so I purchased this one for me at home. I use and abuse this model by Fluke daily and it has always held up. I highly recommend the Fluke 115 for bench work and field use. Some of the best features of the 115 is the ability to read frequency and capacitance. It is rare I need to verify frequency but it has saved my bacon at least once in the field.

I like the fluke 115 in general, but the one I received had a loose fitting common cable which interrupted the reading on the display. Also, when I turned the pages in the user guide the pages become detached from the book. I certainly did not expect these quality control problems from fluke.

Buy this once and done
I was looking to replace an older Fluke meter I have and after looking at the other meters out there, I thought to get the best and Fluke is hands down the industry standard for automotive, electronics and I had one while serving in the Marines, so why not get the best.
Marine son likes his Fluke.
I purchased this for my son who is a building manager. He used this Fluke model when he was in the Marines and it is very familiar to him.

two of the negative reviews on this item come from people who clearly have no business using any sort of multimeter. #1 yes this meter does measure current. #2 yes it is rated to 600 amps.

Best meter for the money.
If you want reliability at a price that's not going to break the bank then the Fluke 115 is the way to go. For most people that dont need specialized meters you can't really get better.
