Good basic CO detector
Purchased this to replace a fancier model, but have no complaints so far. Pros: cost and ease of use - just plug in and you're done. Battery backdrop does not chirp when you add new battery! (The dog says thank you for that.) Cons: doesn't have a digital readout and the access door for the battery was difficult to open. Had to resort to YouTube to figure out how to open but opened easily once I understood.

Chirps when it is time to replace unit
I previously had one and it chirped 5 times at the end of its 7 year life. I wanted to get the same brand as before. I like this one with the battery back up and electric plug in. I hope I never have a carbon monoxide exposure but if I do I trust this device will alert us.

I purchased this product along with potting soil, but the problem was this.. I accidentally left the Carbon Monoxide Detector in the cart, in the bag along with my receipt, in the parking lot after putting the soil in my truck. My mind was on the loss of my brother and I was totally blank until getting home and realized I'd left it. I live 20 mins away and my wife called and gave description of the detector and explained what happened. The lady said she would go look and see if it was there but ...

Easy to Use and Install
These plug-in CO detectors are a snap to use and are easy to use. However, one needs to follow directions and test them and dust them regularly to keep them functioning properly. I have been very happy with them. One of the good features is that at the end of the battery life it will give out a specific chirp to let you know to replace it. Be prepared for that and don't mistake it for your smoke detector.
