As with any mechanical device, the time will come when it needs repairs. Firman authorized service centers tend to be few & far between. I live in Clovis, CA and discovered that to get my Firman fixed I would either need to drive over 150 miles or pay a $150 dispatch fee. No one else in town would touch it because they can't get parts. Our 4K unit, which was just enough to keep our essentials going during outages, died in the middle of a 3 day wind related outage recently, so we picked up this unit as a replacement. Absolute Waste of Money. Won’t Run

Had mine about a year and has less than 2hrs on it. Probably less than 1. Kept shutting off after about 5 mins. Then got to the point it was every 30 sec. Firman was easy to get ahold of and sent me a troubleshooting guide to determine the bad electronic part and get a new one on the way. Easy set up

Easy set up even for this 82 y.o. woman! Up and running within 10 minutes. Put on a cart so did not use wheel kit. Would recommend based on my experience.

Firman Power Quality Issues...

Particularly for the HO7552: I would not consider buying this or another generator from Firman again. The first generator allowed too much power to be pulled without tripping any internal breaker and subsequently burned out the stater while under warranty. While the company replaced it with a replacement unit, no clear explanation was given as to how the generator almost caught fire and did so leading up to a power outage over Thanksgiving. Purchased generator before Helene. Put oil and gas in it started up. Didn't need it for Helene. Milton came and we needed it for Milton. Generator did not produce any electricity. Can’t Really Give an Accurate Review

Well, pgh had a major storm that knocked my lights out for almost 5 days. I broke down and brought this, only to set it up and the light company came and fixed the lights. I did try it just to see, but when I plugged up a brand new extension cord to it, there was nothing. Lowes sold me generator w/o battery, not operable.

Generator was received incomplete. It does not have a battery! It will not work without a battery. I have called Firman customer support three times over three weeks and still do not have the parts I need to run the generator. Buyer beware! Lowe's sold this to me via online for pick-up at the Katy store. It was boxed and made to look as new. I paid over $800 for a generator in preparation for the hurricane season and almost a month has gone by and still I cannot operate my firman generator!!!

Worst service I have ever had

My current generator went down during the power outage caused by the hurricane. I went to Lowes because they said they had generators available. This was the biggest one available. Warranty is no good!

Firman advertises the best warranty. LOl. First you have to register it. Then, if you have a problem, you need to provide a receipt and pictures, even though they have a record of the purchase. After that, as in my case, you wait a month for a response back. Then, they tell you they will send you the parts, but your warranty afterward is void.
