Filter too fat
I bought this filter for my home Trane HVAC. I needed a 20" x 20" x 4" filter, so I bought a filter labeled 20 x 20 x 4. However, this filter is 20" x 20" x 4.25". The extra 0.25" made it impossible to slide into the filter compartment on my HVAC. Don't buy this filter unless your HVAC unit can accommodate a filter that is 4.25 inches thick.

We like the price point for two filters purchased at one time. We like the look of a sturdy filter. We were very disappointed that the size listed for the filter and the actual size were not the same. It was just slightly larger than stated and did not fit our heater. The positive outcome was we found a Heater Company that we really like and their prices were very good and they did all the work including cleaning our heater and did a preventative maintenance check up.
